Glyphosate Resistance Confirmation and Field Management of Red Brome (Bromus rubens L.) in Perennial Crops Grown in Southern Spain

چکیده

The excessive use of the herbicide glyphosate on annual and perennial crops grown in Southern Spain has caused an increase resistant weed populations. Bromus rubens begun to spread through olive almond cultivars due low control over these species, whereas previously it had been well controlled with field dose (1080 g ae ha−1). Characterization using Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) markers confirmed presence B. collected Andalusia. A rapid shikimic acid accumulation screening showed 17 (R) populations values between 300 700 µg shikimate g−1 fresh weight three susceptible (S) 1200 1700 weight. In dose–response experiments GR50 agreed previous results resistance factors (RFs: R/GR50 S (Br1)) were 4.35 (Br9) 7.61 (Br19). Foliar retention assays shown no differences both R tests carried out a (Br10) demonstrated efficacy pre-emergence herbicides since flazasulfuron tank mix up 80% 15 120 days after application (DAA) grass postemergence herbicides, such as propaquizafop + quizalofop glyphosate, 90% 90 DAA. Results confirm first scientific report glyphosate-resistant worldwide; however, another mode action (MOA) is best tool for integrated management.

Assessment of glyphosate-resistant horseweed (Conyza canadensis L. Cronq.) and fleabane (Conyza albida Willd. ex Spreng) populations from perennial crops in Greece

The extended use of glyphosate resulted to its reduced efficacy against increasingly problematic weeds, such as Conyza spp. The objectives of this study were to determine the occurrence of glyphosate resistance in horseweed (C. canadensis) and fleabane (C. albida) populations in Greece, to evaluate the effect of weed growth stage on glyphosate efficacy under controlled environmental condit...

Glyphosate resistance in perennial Sorghum halepense (Johnsongrass), endowed by reduced glyphosate translocation and leaf uptake.

BACKGROUND In a large cropping area of northern Argentina, Sorghum halepense (Johnsongrass) has evolved towards glyphosate resistance. This study aimed to determine the molecular and biochemical basis conferring glyphosate resistance in this species. Experiments were conducted to assess target EPSPS gene sequences and (14)C-glyphosate leaf absorption and translocation to meristematic tissues. ...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Fruit quality parameters of some southern highbush blueberries (Vaccinium xcorymbosum L.) grown in Andalusia (Spain)

Physical and chemical parameters of fresh berries from three southern highbush (‘O’Neal’, ‘Sharpblue’ and ‘Misty’) blueberry cultivars grown in Huelva (Southwestern Spain) under two production systems were measured and evaluated. ANOVA applied to data yielded significant differences between production systems for mean fruit size and mean fruit fresh weight (P<0.05), although main effects on phy...
